Teaming Up to Fight the Opioid/Heroin Crisis

Welcome

The opioid and heroin crisis in Indiana and surrounding counties is real – and we need your help!  Be a CHAMPION and help us in the fight against alcohol and other drugs addiction. Buy a day of prevention or treatment by donating.  A $100 donation buys a day. You will receive a certificate honoring your personal Champion and receive entrance to the celebration on March 27th at the Indiana Theater starting at 5:30 p.m. There will be food, entertainment and door prizes (must be present to win.)

Use the option on the donate screen to honor your personal Champion
and/or a specific date:
Look for – “You may type the name of an honoree and date here:”

You may also donate by sending a check to: The Open Door, 665 Philadelphia St., 2nd Floor, Indiana, PA 15701. Feel free to include the name of someone you’d like to honor and a specific date to be printed on the certificate.

Last year’s Heart of a Champion Awards was a big success. Click here to read more about it.

The Open Door, established in 1972, is a licensed outpatient facility offering a variety of services, including alcohol and other drug screening, assessment, education and treatment, crisis intervention services, and DUI evaluation. The funds will be used to supplement treatment programs for the most needy in our community.  For more information click here.

The Mid-Atlantic Research and Training Institute in Community and Behavioral Health (MARTI-CBH) conducts research, training, and outreach on substance use disorder. These funds will contribute toward its mission and support an on-going multi-channel, multi-tiered prevention campaign.  The goal of this campaign is to change hearts and minds, and reduce the overwhelming stigma that surrounds substance use disorder in our community.  For more information click here.
